SAMUEL DEWITT PROCTOR CONFERENCE, INC. (SDPC)
The mission of the SDPC is to strengthen the capacity and network of the African American faith community and its leaders to address the needs of those it serves. Through partnerships and collaborations, the skills, talents and resources of its supporters are maximized by sharing information and models of successful outreach strategies. By identification of mutual interests and bringing together the best of the Church, the academy, institutions and businesses that sustain community vitality and people empowerment, SDPC is committed to improving and transforming communities.

HISTORY
The SDPC, Inc. was founded in 2003 as a 501(c)(3) organization. SDPC represents a cross section of some of the most dynamic and progressive African American faith leaders and their congregations in the United States. The SDPC is a nexus of visionary leadership and strategic organizational efforts to support community and economic development - locally, nationally and internationally.

ABOUT OUR LOGO
The statue of the Haitian unnamed maroon memorializes the sacrifices, lives and faith of an African people. It is this symbol of faith and liberation - a call to action with the Word of God - that has been adopted as the logo of Samuel DeWitt Proctor Conference, Inc.
