ACTIVITIES

The goals and objectives of the SDPC are to strengthen the capacity and network of the African American faith community and its leaders to address the needs of those it serves. Through partnerships and collaborations, the skills, talents and resources of its supporters are maximized by sharing information and models of successful outreach strategies. By identification of mutual interest and bringing together the best of the Church, the academy, institutions and businesses that sustain community vitality and people empowerment, SDPC is committed to improving and transforming communities.

INITIATIVES AND PROGRAMS

LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT CONFERENCES AND FORUMS
Annual and mid-year conferences and forums are convened for the purpose of ministerial and lay leadership training on vision and ministy implementation strategies, managing growth and change, strategic planning, and community and economic development and sustainability.

TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE CENTER
Expert and seasoned consultants, cross discipline, are available as a SDPC resource to support vision implementation, strategic planning, organizational growth and program assessment activities at the local, national or organizational levels.

INFORMATION CLEARINGHOUSE
Through the SDPC website, e-newsletters and issu oriented commisions, SDPC is organized to initiate and facilitate information dissemination, partnerships and collaborations to maximize and share successes and resources

EDUCATION AND TRAINING PRODUCTS
Selected educational and training products, in the form of monographs, books, videos and e-learning modules are published and distributed by SDPC and its partners.
