Black  Emergency Managers  Association International (BEMA) and Samuel DeWitt Proctor (SDPC) is hosting a city-wide Boston  "Until HELP Arrives" hybrid (virtual and in-person) training.

In- Person Training

Tuesday February 18, 2025


At the end of the free 5-hour course, participants will be able to help citizens prepare for an emergency. Use simple and effective skills to save lives.

  • Communicate with 9-1-1 operators effectively.

  • Act to protect the injured from further harm.

  • Position the injured.

  • Stop life-threatening bleeding.

  • Provide emotional support.


The course is FREE  and you will receive access Boston "Until HELP Arrives" members portal and "Until HELP Arrives" kit upon course completion.

This  no cost training includes an online lecture portion and is to be followed up by an in-person, hands-on practical portion.
