Call for Workshop Proposals
Cultivating Resilience, Resistance, and Responsiveness in the Face of Local and Global Challenges
Th e Samuel DeWitt Proctor Conference, Inc. is issuing a call for prospective 90-minute workshops for the 2026 annual conference.
Proposals will be accepted through August 31, 2025.
In these turbulent times, the world faces numerous crises and opportunities – environmental, social, political, economic, immigration-related, and the rise of Artifi cial Intelligence – to name a few that test our ability to pivot and navigate uncertainty and change. Th e political landscape continues to shift, resulting in the dismantling of institutions, the erasure of histories, disregard for human rights, and, in particular, targeted eff orts to return the nation to the pre-Reconstruction era.
We seek impactful and insightful proposals addressing critical issues aff ecting the Church and the broader community. Proposals should provide information and tools to educate, equip, and empower conference attendees to engage in advocacy and community organizing.
We welcome workshop proposals that:
• Off er practical, faith-rooted tools and strategies for advocacy and organizing.
• Foster a dynamic learning community through education on identifi ed areas.
• Foster collaboration across denominations, generations, and communities.

Ultimately, the workshop should equip and empower participants to lead with resilience, pursue justice with unwavering resistance, and respond to the needs of our communities with thoughtful, actionable solutions grounded in spirituality.
